This is a mostly forgotten album that is historically significant: as far as I know, it’s the first record of music generated by personal computer. (update: it seems it was beaten by 6 months by the even more obscure "Computer Controlled Synthesizer Performances", thanks to @john_ace for the info) It was arranged and programmed by Donald Schertz on his fully-loaded Altair 8800, driving a custom 3-voice synthesizer designed and built by John Pratt. It was recorded at Don’s house in Monterey, California, April 1978. I’ve been working on a detailed video about the creation of this album, but first, here’s the full recording with just a short introduction I made for context. More to come!
